Chromebook Requirements
School-managed Chromebooks from 2017 or later are supported. On Chromebooks, Bluebook must be run in kiosk mode, so it’s available only on Chromebooks managed through the Admin console in Google Workspace. Students cannot test on personal Chromebooks.
School-managed Chromebooks can be shared or assigned to students 1-to-1. Students who borrow a shared Chromebook to take the SAT Weekend must complete exam setup on the same device they take the test on.

Operating Systems
Required minimum: Bluebook can’t be installed on versions below ChromeOS 114.
Recommended maximum: Bluebook is always aligned to the ChromeOS stable channel. Any version available on the stable channel is supported.
Free Storage
Bluebook requires at least 1 GB free storage. If your school reuses testing devices within a testing window, we recommend checking between uses to make sure 1 GB is available each time a student starts testing.
On Chromebooks, it’s difficult to measure storage available to Bluebook, but insufficient space can cause the loss of student answers and other issues. To avoid problems, clear user profiles and perform other cleansing activities shortly before test day. Learn more about clearing user profiles.
