Test Day Oversight
Coordinators can use the Test Day Toolkit dashboard, Test Day Live, to watch as students in all rooms progress through the test and spot issues. New: View the start times and estimated end times for every student.
Note: Only coordinators can access Test Day Live, but proctors can use their room’s monitoring dashboard to view the same information.
Test Day Tips
- Remember to grant staff full access to Test Day Toolkit; otherwise, they’ll remain in preview mode. Just go the Staff page, find their name, and choose Grant toolkit access in the Actions column.
- Test Day Live refreshes automatically every 90 seconds, but you can also click the Refresh button.
How to Use Test Day Live Filters
- If you’re administering multiple tests at once, open Test Day Toolkit on multiple tabs and select a different administration on each tab.
- Click the Test Day Live button in the top left of your screen.
- Check the status numbers to make sure everything’s going smoothly. For example, if it’s time for the test to end, the total for submitted answers should climb rapidly.
- If the numbers aren’t what you’d expect, click a filter to learn more. For example:
- If the total for not checking in to Bluebook is too high, click it to identify students who might be absent.
- If the total for ready to test is too high, click it to identify technical issues preventing students from starting the test or proctors who need guidance.
- If the total for submitted answers is too low, click started testing to identify students who might need help.
New: Timing Information
Test Day Live displays actual student start times and estimated end times as well as timing tables for standard and accommodated testing. You can use the information to anticipate breaks and dismissal.
In the monitoring dashboard, proctors can see the same information for students assigned to their room.
Good to Know
The estimated end time is based on start times and doesn’t update during the test.
It doesn’t reflect technical issues that pause the clock.
It is assumed students with extended time use their full time, but they can opt to end a section after standard time ends.
