About Bluebook Digital Testing

Is it time for you to install or update Bluebook?

The digital testing applications are user friendly and designed to keep testing smooth and secure.

Test Day Toolkit: Test Administration

Coordinators and staff use Test Day Toolkit to create room rosters, take attendance, and proctor the test. They’ll need a College Board professional account to access it. They can use it on any device that connects to the internet—no installation required.

Bluebook: Student Testing

Students use Bluebook to take the exam on a device that meets minimum specifications. An internet connection is required at the start and end of the exam, but students can keep testing if their connection drops momentarily.

When to Install Bluebook

Install Bluebook early enough to support student practice and school readiness activities.

Bluebook releases occasionally require a new deployment. Find out if you need to update Bluebook.

SAT Weekend

If students who attend your school are using a managed device to take the SAT at a weekend test center, install Bluebook early to give them time to set up the exam, take full-length practice tests, and explore Bluebook tools and features.

SAT preview questions and full-length practice tests are available now to any student.

Digital AP Exams

In 2024, digital testing is an option for 7 subjects; the AP African American Studies exam will be digital only. Consult with your school’s designated AP coordinator to make sure you install Bluebook early enough to support their readiness activities. Students use Bluebook to access AP Exam previews (previews for AP African American Studies will be available in the spring).

SAT School Day and PSAT-Related Assessments

If your school is administering SAT School Day or PSAT-related assessments, consult with your school’s test coordinator to make sure you install Bluebook early enough to support their readiness activities. Students use Bluebook to take full-length practice tests.
