Network Specifications

An internet connection is required at the start and end of the test, but students can keep testing if their connection drops momentarily.

Network Access

Make sure testing staff and students can access your network. You may need to set up guest access.

  • SAT Weekend test centers: Some students and staff will use personal devices or be unaffiliated with your institution.
  • Schools: Depending on your policy, students and staff using personal devices or unaffiliated with your school may need network access.

To enable submission of student responses, your network must allow traffic to and from College Board on test day. Use a wildcard at the root level: *.collegeboard.org

To enable Bluebook updates on Macs and iPads, allow traffic to and from the Apple App Store.
