Why can’t students take Bluebook exams on devices running ChromeOS Flex?

To keep our tests secure, we prohibit testing on ChromeOS Flex, which is run on old PCs and Macs. Only devices built as Chromebooks can pass the verified mode check.  

To find out if a device is running ChromeOS Flex: 

  1. Open the Chrome browser. 

  2. Enter chrome://version in the address bar.  

  3. Locate the customization ID. If it’s reven, the device is running ChromeOS Flex.
