When does the Chromebook verified mode requirement take effect?

Verified mode is required now, but Bluebook will continue to work on Chromebooks throughout the 2025–26 school year even if it’s not enabled. The setting is already checked whenever Bluebook is opened on a Chromebook, but the policy won’t be enforced until summer 2026. 

Until then, Chromebooks without the correct configuration will explain that although the requirement is not met, students can still test on the device and that the technology coordinator needs to update it soon.
