What if a student’s iPad freezes while it’s locked?
If a student’s iPad freezes after it’s been locked, they should perform a hard reset:
- Press and quickly release the Volume button nearest to the Top button.
- Press and quickly release the Volume button farthest from the Top button.
- Press and hold the Top button.
- When the Apple logo appears, release the Top button.
- If you need to, reopen Bluebook.
For iPads with Home buttons, perform a hard reset this way:
- Press and hold the iPad’s Top button and Home button at the same time.
- When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
- If you need to, reopen Bluebook.
