FAQ

How do I make sure verified mode is enabled on Chromebooks for students with accommodations?

Open Bluebook on one of the devices reserved for students with accommodations and click Test Your Device on the sign-in screen. If you see a checkmark next to Verified Mode, the setting is correct.

If you don’t see the checkmark, the device might belong to a lower organizational unit (OU) than the OU where Bluebook is installed and verified mode is enabled. In that case, technology staff need to take these steps:

  1. Use your administrator account to sign in to your Admin console at admin.google.com
  2. Navigate to the OU for accommodated testing devices.
  3. Go to Devices > Chrome > Settings.
  4. Click the Settings tab and select Verified mode.
  5. Switch the Inheritance option from locally applied to inherited so that the OU inherits the verified mode setting from its parent OU.
  6. Click Save.
